Video Editor

To illustrate a story's emotion and meaning, I perform the following tasks: selecting the shots, cutting, arranging the shots, transitioning, titling, adjusting the colors (as needed), and adjusting the audio (such as dialogue, interview clips, narration, sound effects, and music).

Sample Edits

Documentary Sample Edit

I created this version of a documentary trailer during my DaVinci Resolve training. I recut the shots, arranged the shots, and applied transitions and titling. Unsatisfied with simply completing the basic edit, I refined it until it looked and sounded as good as the official trailer. I even adjusted individual sounds and words, wherever needed, to improve the sound quality and consistency. I replaced the original theme music with Jazmine Sullivan's "Lions, Tigers & Bears." "Get on Up: The Music Videos"

In this video, I experimented with making some scenes gloomier to fit their themes and with making the colors (e.g., shiny outfits, backgrounds, and musical instruments) pop much more than usual in other scenes.

I performed other edits such as reducing the shadows in the actors' faces. No copyright infringement or commercial distribution is intended.

"Shaolin Prince: The Fresh Cut"

This is a parody of, and a tribute to, the Shaw Bros. kung fu film "Shaolin Prince."

"Golden Arm: The Secret of Iron Feet" (Version 2)

This is a parody of, and a tribute to, the Shaw Bros. kung fu film "Kid with the Golden Arm." I provided a full voiceover for Golden Arm and only made a slight voiceover change for Iron Feet in this version. No copyright infringement or commercial distribution is intended.

"Golden Arm: The Secret of Iron Feet" (Version 1)

This is a parody of, and a tribute to, the Shaw Bros. kung fu film "Kid with the Golden Arm." I provided full voiceovers for both Golden Arm and Iron Feet in this version. No copyright infringement or commercial distribution is intended.
